The short answer
Pax Autocratica is currently presented on Steam as a single-player game. Co-op is described in the Early Access FAQ as a feature planned for development during Early Access. That is a plan, not a live multiplayer mode.
What you can do today
- Play the colony-management and FPS roguelite loop solo on Windows through Steam.
- Follow the store page for feature-label changes and the official Discord for announcements or feedback threads.
- Treat third-party posts claiming a working co-op build as player reports until an official channel confirms the build and version.
What “planned” means here
The wording matters. The official store copy gives the team room to develop co-op during Early Access, but it does not promise a launch date, player count, cross-play, or a specific co-op ruleset. Keep those details out of a buying decision until the team publishes them.
Planning note: this page should be updated when a patch note or official announcement changes the mode label.
